Tuesday - April 19

Wow...what a night!    2 nights ago we had all the rain and last night terrific winds all night long!    Sometime in the evening, a front came thru, dropped the temps and the winds howled thru the night!    Sounded especially ominous on Flo.

However, with all the wind during the night and finally dying down in the early morning hours, Blair and I slept like babies.    She didn't get up till 9 and only 15 minutes before that for Grandma!   WOW.....we were lazy ladies and loved it!     Grandpa went inside and Brooke sent out muffins, coffee and hot chocolate.    Life is good here at Lake James!

I got the laundry going and then Blair and I set to making doggie treats for Jinx and Millie.    My Fort Myers friend, Beth gave me a recipe that her grand dogs love, so.....very simple with just 4 ingredients - egg, oats, peanut butter, banana.    I got carried away with size (not having a dog you know) and silly Grandma made BIG treats instead of tiny ones.    But Jinx sampled one and loved it and we can break into little pieces for Millie.

Millie loves her new toys - here is a soft squeaky container of French fries.    She also has a Big Mac
Jinx thoroughly enjoyed his treat

I'll be making these with Liam and Connor for Gibson and Frankie.

Blair prepared lunch on Flo for Grandpa and me - she loves to play restaurant!

Brady has been hired by "Pelicans" in Morganton (a sno-cone shop).   He's in training today and will learn all about making these icy treats with over 100 flavors to choose from!

Drew went back to Iowa City this afternoon from Easter break.    Michael took him to the Charlotte airport and he flew into Cedar Rapids - NO more masks on the airplane!    Yeah!!!

We'll see him in less than 3 weeks for graduation!!!!!!!!

Blair and Brooke drove to Hickory in the afternoon - Blair got a haircut.    Mark and I went to Marion and ran several errands + Ingles + our booster shots at CVS.

It's such a beautiful day - 60 sunny and no wind!

We all went to Philip and Annette's for delicious beef brisket that Philip smoked and so many good sides!    We played euchre......Michael and Mark beat Philip and Ryan.    Annette won in 3-handed against Brooke and me.

Nighty night....another chilly one!
