Friday - September 1

WELCOME September and almost the the beginning of beautiful fall colors, cooler temps, bonfires, hot dog/s'mores over the fire, football, caramel apples, hot cider, pumpkins and much more!

 I   LO🍂🍂🍂VE   FALL

Another busy day of moving our stuff!   And another gorgeous day!   Defrosted Catrina's fridge.....on a roll!    But the heat is coming...

Today starts the big 18th annual Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival in downtown Port Clinton sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and our parish (Immaculate Conception).    We'll be sure to check out this fun, yummy event sometime over the Labor Day weekend!

We went to Pay-it-Forward for lunch (Bistro 163) - always so good and they are so appreciative of their customers helping out the community and those less fortunate.   Mark had the 1/2 chicken salad croissant and cup of sausage/bean soup; I had the same 1/2 sandwich and spinach salad - all very good!    We sat next to a couple with their 4-year old twin granddaughters from Port Clinton.    Had a nice visit - they winter at Babcock Ranch (Punta Gorda)!

Stopped at Baby Bassett's to stock up Flo's cupboards and fridge.

Dave and Brad are off work for the 4-day weekend, so pretty quiet here at the marina.

We had a light supper (shared a loaded baked potato and had salads) on Flo    Walked downtown - we were curious how many cars were in the parking lot (Jet Express to Put-in-Bay customers) - only about 1/2 full.   We imagine more coming tomorrow for this last hurrah of summer!

Visited with Bob and Donna for a bit and on home - our last night on Catrina.

Have a fun, safe holiday weekend!
