Hello from Richmond, IN......been a big day and hot (we hit 95 while traveling). I went to Coffee Express (one last time) and got some goodies + coffee/juice for breakfast. Ship Shape Marine came to give Catrina a good scrubbing and then time for the lift out.
All went well and she's tucked away for the cold winter months ahead! As always, Dave, Brad, Steve, Keith (and 2 other guys who came to help) are just such a great crew and made our summer extra pleasant at Superior Marine.
We left Port Clinton at 11:40 (our little caravan) with 189 miles to go. Got the AC cranked up and the Oldies (60's) blaring away. How ironic and funny that as we were leaving the marina, the song that came on was "I Will Follow Him" by Little Peggy March and which has been our theme song when I'm traveling behind Mark, Big Red and Flo. "I will follow him - follow him wherever he may go".....we're off to a good start!
And all did go well till we were around Sidney, OH when a dusty gravel truck pulled onto the interstate (I-75) and bang....a rock hit the car windshield (far passenger side) and put a nice 1/2 circle of shattered glass......ugh!!! Arghhhh!
We are at the Deer Ridge Camping Resort tonight in rural Richmond. Had leftovers for supper and walked around the campground which is celebrating its 25th anniveresary. Mostly seasonal or permament residents and some of these campers have been here a long time - very dirty and most likely abandoned?
Exciting year for Luke and Maeve - new school, new teachers, new friends!
