Hello from Hope Hull, Alabama and the South Montgomery RV Park. Arrived here at 4:15 after driving thru rain off and on - luckily none of the really nasty stuff which was around us!
Our friends Chris and Dan from Fort Mitchell, KY welcomed their son, John home after an 8-month deployment on the USS Truman. John and over 6,000+ men and women arrived in Norfolk, VA.........Chris sent a video of John and the 10-member squadron flying in formation into Cincinnati yesterday before returning back to their Lemoore, CA base. John is a former Blue Angel (#2) and was Ryan's roommate. Sure brought tears to this Mom's eyes watching that video and I can only imagine the joyous celebration for Chris and Dan knowing their boy was home safe 'n sound.
And then Chris sent a picture from today in CA of John down on one knee proposing to Mary, his long-time girlfriend right after he got out of his jet.....ooohhh...more tears!
Tonight on FB (Blue Angel Tribute page) there were a bunch of pictures taken at Jeff's funeral in Durango.....so many memories of that very sad day.
