Thursday - July 13

Wow.....it was a doozy in the heat and humidity department today!     I should've been up early to walk, but....it was 8 before I left and drenched when I returned to "cool" Catrina!    Mark did his weights while I was walking, we had breakfast and then dug in with the packing.

Tomorrow we are off to Lake James for 17 days of fun with the kids and kiddies!     My brother Bob and Linda, their daughter Jennifer and family will be coming for a few days + Liam and Connor the following week.   We have 4 birthdays to celebrate...
Connor (14th); Brooke (18th); Blair (19th) and Maeve (20th)!

Around 10:15 we walked to Philz for our daily iced coffee fix - love this place.    No lattes or cappuccino's - just the real deal with various made-to-order flavorings.

My favorite
Mint mojito iced coffee

We moved Catrina just a little ways to do a pump out!    Kevin, the dockmaster is such a swell guy and always so friendly and helpful!     He's going on vacation to Maine next week to escape the heat!    I think I mentioned earlier that many boaters on the Chesapeake do their pleasure boating in Maine during the hot summer months!

Got a dock cart of stuff loaded in the car - we'll be pulling Toad behind the truck.

Tonight we drove to Arlington and the home of our friends, Joe and Liddy.    They are parents of Joe, the flight surgeon for the Blue Angels in 2015-16.    We so enjoyed our times at air shows with Joe and Liddy and watching Susan and Joe's little guys....

Susan and her little guys
Joey, 4; Declan 2 and Wyatt, 15 months

Joe is completing his residency in family practice - sorry we missed him!    We got to see Aunt Mary (Liddy's sister) and Joe, her brother.   Always enjoyed Aunt Mary at the shows, too.

We had a lovely evening with Joe and Liddy starting with drinks outdoors at the Washington Golf and Country Club - beautiful!!!.    Then indoors for a wonderful dinner and great catch-up visit.

A delightful evening with more great Blue Angel family!

Big trip coming tomorrow with an early start, so nighty night!
