Wednesday - July 5

Extremely sultry and clammy this morning after all the rain, but we got thru our bike ride, back to Catrina for breakfast and on with the day.   I did 2 more loads of laundry and then off to get a haircut.   This was a unique experience with Tom and Isabel (husband and wife who have been cutting hair for 60+ years).   Their business is in an older home (2-bedroom apartment is rented out upstairs).  I found them on the internet and got great reviews.    They were delightful and we chatted non-stop and Tom took a "long" time to cut my hair, but really pleased.    I browsed around Annapolis Pottery and then back to pick up Mark.

He suggested we have lunch at Harry Browne's downtown and another Annapolis institution.    We had brunch there a year ago in May when the Blue Angels were in town with Mark and Heather (former flight surgeon for the BA).  Well, another phenomenal meal and such a nice setting right across from the capital.    Picked up some gifts at the pottery store (beautiful pottery) and back to Catrina.

We had planned to leave tomorrow and head south to Solomon's Island, but weather sounds iffy (all-day rain), so...we shall see.    We have till Monday to get to The Yards in DC.

I walked late afternoon - oh boy, the humidity is a killer!

The fireworks started early at 8:50 and wasn't totally dark.    We're thinking maybe cause of the impending stormy weather coming.    Good show and nice finale.   We had ringside seats on Catrina's bridge as the sky lit up with all the brilliant colors thru all the sailboat masts!

One of the many ahhh moments as reflected on the water
