Saturday - July 8

So serene and peaceful when we left Coan River

A delightful day on the water and what a HUGE difference a day makes!   We left the dock at Coan River Marina at 6:33 AM.....all was calm on this pretty Saturday morning.    We cruised 86 miles and enjoyed very pleasant conditions!

Stopped for diesel at Belmont Bay Harbour and then just a short jaunt to the Occoquan Harbor Marina in Woodbridge, VA.  We arrived at 1:30, settled in and off to lunch at BLU 1681 here at the marina - very good food (Mesquite BBQ chicken salad for me and prime rib sandwich for Mark).    Rinsed off Catrina and just chilling this hot Saturday afternoon.

At the end of our dock...whoaaa, a little garden of corn and tomatoes.   Not sure if it's for the boaters?
Not something we usually see at a marina!  Catrina is in the background

Late afternoon we walked about 6 blocks to West Marine where Mark had some items to return.   Back to the cool confines of Catrina where we read our books.

Luke is off and running to the water...boots and all!

Tonight we went back to BLU 1681 and shared pulled honey pork sliders and...
Chocolate Bomba
1st dessert we've had in awhile...very good!

We are just 20 miles away from The Yards and Terraphobic.
