Sunday - January 10

Sunny and chilly but not so breezy today which was nice.    Warmed up to 63.    We were off this morning on a mission to check out the new Luminary Hotel downtown.    It is beautiful with 3 restaurants - "Ella Mae's" Diner, upscale "Silver  King" and "The Beacon", rooftop drinkery and small plate venue overlooking the Caloosahatchee River.    And they have a coffee cafe, "Dean Street Coffee Roasters".   So, we ordered our coffees and light breakfast and then sat in lobby - not too many people but interesting to check it all out.    They have "The Workshop" which is a very big state-of-the-art kitchen with small amphitheater for cooking classes (I probably won't be signing up for these)😉

Since it's called "Luminary", the light fixtures were especially interesting!    Here's one of them....

Then we were off to the big flea market - Mark wanted a front license plate (Fort Myers) for Big Red.     Got that and then some goodies from a produce stand - blueberries, strawberries, 2 tomatoes and a cucumber.  We usually check out the donut place (BIG donuts with all kinds of toppings)     But last fall we noticed they weren't there 😥.    We checked again today and that spot now sells kettle corn!   On home for Mass with Bishop Reed in Boston on this Feast of the Baptism of Jesus.

Mark worked on his truck (he's happy, happy) and I did a load of laundry and for the most part, a nice relaxing Sunday.

Liam and Connor were only 5 and 6.

Less than a mile from Cypress Trail is a big development under way and we wondered what it was going to be......Mark checked the building permit and it will be the new Bermuda Lakes RV Resort!    Will be fun to watch it come together.

All the siblings were on tonight for zoom with a lot of reminiscing as they were growing up.

Here's to a good week ahead!
