Wednesday - March 1

March certainly came in like a lamb here in SWFL.....hot 'n sunny with a gentle breeze.

We drove to Cape Coral to have lunch and visit with Vinnie and Laurie who have a PDQ like Catrina.    They live on a canal and had lots of damage from Ian.....now, 5 months later, all looks great.    We sat on the lanai and enjoyed Laurie's delicious salmon cakes and salad that she served last time and we raved over them!    I brought dessert from Publix (assorted little treats of tiramisu, chocolate truffle mousse and caramel panna cotta).

We had so much to catch up on and no shortage of chatter.    A delightful afternoon and so appreciate their hospitality.    They are going on a 7-week trip out west in their RV van later this spring.....they will have so much fun and Laurie has done a lot of planning and research,

Vinnie and Laurie

On home and spent rest of the afternoon reading and even took a little cat nap.

We walked after supper and stopped to see Mark and Brenda and had a nice visit under their tiki.    They'll be heading back to OH for a week this Friday to see her 97-year old Dad who has been having health issues but now doing amazingly well.

On home....

Our boys have been traveling - Michael was in Dublin a few days ago and now London; Philip was in the British Virgin Islands yesterday!

Maeve is making chocolate-dipped strawberries for her great aunts and uncles who are visiting
Mike and Theresa, Rich and Doris
Yummy!
