Monday - February 11

A fun day on the water......first off, Mark exercised, we had breakfast and then off to Bonita Springs.   We met Barb, Roger, Paul and Kathy and spent an awesome day cruising on Roger's new NauticStar deck boat on the Imperial River and the Back Bay.    Weather was just perfect and we had lunch at Doc Ford's     So good to be back on the water with these good friends!!!

When we were returning to the marina, we had a few rain drops and the sky was threatening, but that was it.    Water standing here at the park when we returned so a nice shower for which my plants are most grateful.

Sunday - February 10

Another delightful day...we rode with Bill and Charmaine to Punta Gorda and the 12th Annual Mid Illini winter reunion,    A nice big crowd of 20 (boating friends from back in the 80's) gathered at Laishley Crab House for visiting and delicious lunch.     Afterwards we all went to Roger and Carol's condo for more visiting and dessert.    So appreciate the Potter's hosting and planning this fun day!

Came home to Flo and just relaxed a bit, then a walk in the park and a drive to Dollar General for a few things.

Saturday - February 9

Warm, sunny Saturday.   We exercised, had eggs, sausage and bagels for breakfast and then off to run  errands (Lowes, Whole Foods, CVS and Dollar General). 

Mark hung some pictures in my she shed in the afternoon, we rode bikes and then off to 4:00 Mass with Bill, Charmaine and Lydia at St. Francis Xavier.    Happy Hour with Bill and Charmaine on our patio and then Jim and Lydia stopped by with some yummy cupcakes.    Had leftovers from last night at Izzy's for supper.   

Friday - February 8

Mostly cloudy today but warm.    Lydia and I went to yoga from 9-10   And then a fun rest of the day when  Rich and Doris (Mark's sister) arrived.    We walked around the park, at on the clubhouse patio watching the final finish of the tiki hut roof.    Had snacks and drinks on our patio and Bill and Charmaine came over to meet the kin.   

Late afternoon we went downtown to Izzy's for some great seafood.....fun day with everyone and Rich and Doris are very glad they are not home (Palos Park) now where it's 11 degrees.    They'll be enjoying Fort Myers Beach weather till the 20th.

Thursday - February 7

A wonderful day with good friends celebrating Kathy's birthday (December 30th)!    Mark and I exercised and then I was off to downtown to meet Claire and Kathy.    First stop was the Java House for coffee and delicious pastries!    Then we toured the Burroughs House - beautiful home on the Historical Registry backed up to the Caloosahatchee River.   We had a wonderful guide and so much history about the early years of Fort Myers.

Then to the Veranda for wonderful lunch outdoors on the patio - such a pretty setting on a picture-perfect day with dear friends and delicious food!!!

Off to downtown and a bit of shopping before a treat at Starbucks and then said our good byes.    More fun ahead for the 3 of us this month!

Home to Mark who had a big day washing Flo and Big Red.   He got some other projects done!    All much appreciated!

I visited Jim and Lydia, then Mark and I went for a bike ride, had supper and called it a day!
