HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Ryan!!!   Wow....how can it be that our "baby" is 25 years old today!    Had a good chat with him and all is well out in CA and he's enjoying his new home (5th Wheel)!

We were supposed to get storms today, flash flooding, etc., but didn't happen, although overnight we did have a thunderstorm and high winds (lots of folks had no power)!   I started the day at therapy with Jim (today really hurt no matter which direction he put the arm/shoulder).   He did 4 measurements, though and showed some progress in all 4 areas (some not too much, but all a positive and any little increase is GOOD)!

Ran some errands after therapy and then enjoyed lunch at Station 220 with friends, Margie and Claire.   We had planned to go out of town to the wonderful, fun LaTeaDa Tea Room, but with the predicted stormy weather, thought we should stay in town....of course, we got zip!   But we had a really good lunch and visit.

Bob, the window washer man came at 3:30 with his son and 3 hours later, my windows are all sparkly clean!!!    I walked this evening and been reading a good book.

Now for an update on the boaters..............they are at Hoppie's Marina in Kimmswick, MO tonight and had dinner with Mark's brother, Jim and Lydia who live about 12 miles from the marina.   And it turns out that their daughter-in-law, Michelle teaches at the Kimmswick Elementary School.

Mark, Bill and Catrina traveled 110 miles today and used 65 gallons of fuel.   They were able to go 10 1/2 mph and the current was 5-5 1/2 mph.   They saw some really large barges (5 barges wide and 7 barges long) and 2 miles behind they could see their wave action.   They have about 70 miles to the IL River.   Sounds like they are enjoying themselves and that's what it's all about!   Mark is really happy to have Bill's expertise on river travel (not sure I told you that Bill wrote a book about the many boating adventures he and Nancy have enjoyed over the years)?

Pat: I have been to Kimmswick and it is a lovely quaint town. We ate at the Blue Owl Cafe and it was wonderful. Had great desserts. We stopped in there again three years ago, but it was not lunch time so did not eat then. I am here in Newton taking care of the boys while Brooke is with Michael in Atlanta. So far so good. The boys get out of school for the summer tomorrow at 11:00. Know they will be glad and already asking how late they can stay up tomorrow night. We have had thunder storms for the past two days, two yesterday in Morganton and one tonight in Hickory. Drew's baseball practice was cut short because of the one here today. We are heading to the Mall tomorrow to let the boys Bungee jump. They have a new Bungee device in the middle of the food court and Davis spotted it tonight while we were eating supper and, of course, wanted to do it right then. Convinced him that we would go back tomorrow so Drew could ride also. Well, it is bed time so will chat with you later. JudyB
