June 5-6

What a whirlwind weekend!    But the big news is that Catrina is in Ottawa
at the Heritage Harbor Marina and tonight the crew (Mark and Bill) are in Grand Rivers, KY on Daisy.    The guys arrived yesterday around 4:30 after easily going thru 2 locks.   The water levels are expected to rise throughout the week, so they were very happy to reach their destination.

My sister-in-law, Linda and I gave a bridal shower/luncheon yesterday at Station 220 for our nephew's fiancee, Ashley - great girlie fun!

After the shower, I went to a surprise birthday party for Tamara - beautiful afternoon out in the country with good friends and a BIG success with the surprise

I left the party at 5:30 and drove to Ottawa to meet the boaters.   Fortunately I arrived just before a major storm broke out and the heavens opened up to tremendous rain and lightning.    Tornadoes in the area did major damage and caused serious injuries.    Good to be back on the boat and hear more adventures.

Sunday morning, we packed up our stuff, left Catrina in her new summer home, stopped for breakfast and onward home.    Mark and Bill got Daisy ready and left for KY around 10:40.   Bill will return to TN tomorrow (BIG thanks to this great friend for his knowledge/expertise and willingness to be Mark's crew).    Mark will tow Toad home.   Interesting tidbit - took the guys 6 days to travel from KY to Ottawa on Catrina and today, just 6 hours to do almost the same trip with Daisy!!!

I went to 11:30 Mass, took a long walk, read, and had a yummy ham dinner at Anne and Patrick's.   Fun week coming up as Liam and Connor will be staying with us - their sitter is on vacation!
