Anne brought the boys over at 7:30 this sunny Monday morning. Mr. Marty (next door neighbor) came to watch the boys (not babysit as they tell me they are NOT babies) while I went to therapy. Lee said there is more fluidity in my shoulder, so REALLY HAPPY to hear that. We have 18 days till I go back to the doctor, so we are going to work our darndest to get this shoulder UNfrozen so I don't need manipulation!!!
After therapy, I picked up Marty, Liam and Connor and we met the neighbors/friends for the regular Monday morning coffee/breakfast gathering at McDonald's. The boys played in the play area and the girls and guys separate and enjoy our usual chatter!
Mr. Marty, Liam and Connor
Back home and the boys and I started cleaning out all the toys and sorting, organizing, etc. We have a big bag of "baby" toys which Connor says they don't need anymore. And then right after lunch at 12:30, Grandpa and Daisy arrived home!!! TAH DAH - hope things slow down for Mark a bit? He's glad to be HOME SWEET HOME!
Warm welcome for Grandpa as the boys were in back of truck in garage when he drove in with Miss Daisy!
L & C took a 3-hour nap and Patrick picked them up. I went with the Monday Night Friends to SF Park for supper and visit, but early evening as rain and storms are threatening AGAIN.
Pretty day lilies in our yard
Ok....now for some interesting facts about Catrina's delivery from Florida to Ottawa:
1,406 miles from Panama City; 561 from Green Turtle Bay (Grand Rivers, KY)
15 days for total trip, but 48 calendar days to get it done
About 660 gallons of fuel (still need to do final fill-up, so estimating)
120 hours of engine running time
Went thru 19 locks (could run right over the dam on 4 of them as water was so high)
Strongest current - lower Mississippi River was running 6 miles per hour against us
Estimated number of tow boats (500) and barges (3-4,000) - this fact blew Pat's mind!!!
