Happy Birthday to our daughter-in-law, Brooke who is celebrating a "biggie" today!!!
The Birthday Girl
After a great night's sleep at the Holiday Inn Express in Barrie, we exercised, had breakfast and were on our way to Midland - short little jaunt (60 kilometers or 36 miles)
Catrina was launched around 10:30 with the help of James who did our fiberglass work. We've known him for several years and had become reacquainted in St. Pete 2010. James had recommended "The Horse and the Jockey" for a great dinner and that's where we had eaten just before the accident! He was happy to see the much-improved and healed shoulder!

After settling into our slip, unpacking and stowing all our stuff, we had lunch at The Explorers' Cafe (James' wife, Jackie works here, but was off today). We had eaten here with Philip,, Annette, Paul and Kathy 4 years ago - great place and another good lunch today! Then off to the grocery store (big Foodland which brought back memories of when Drew and Davis were here in '07 and rode around the big "car" cart.). They were 5 and 7 and we had such a good time! Foodland is similar to the Publix grocery stores in FL.
We had planned to leave Wednesday, but turned in our rental car and are ready to go.....so, tomorrow, planning to head out and start the Trent-Severn Waterway and oh-so-many locks! It is warm up here, but nothing like back home. Each day temps are to keep rising, but always pleasant on the water.
Henry's South Restaurant (same as original Henry's that we visited on Frying Pan Island a few weeks ago) is right here in the marina, so we had some appetizers and then scarfed down those absolutely wonderful warm butter tarts and ice cream!!!
