Monday - July 13

A beautiful sunny day for our last hurrah in Washington State.    We had breakfast and then off with a stop at Dutch Bros for coffees.    This chain is all over WA and always, always has a long line.    Drove to Longview which is a sister city to Kelso.   This area is connected by 3 rivers (Coweeman, Cowlitz and Columbia).   The Three Rivers Mall and other businesses use the river theme in their name..     We picked up our WalMart order (such a smooth operation)!

We are close to the Kelso High School with "Coweeman" as the name of the school's sports teams.     That river flows by us high up on the dyke.    The Cowlitz separates Longview and Kelso and these 2 rivers flow into the Columbia which separates WA and OR.    Are you still with me?    Ha....

Along the Coweeman is the nice 4-mile trail that we biked our first night here.    Today we walked (4.2 miles round trip) - awesome!!!     Enjoyed this scenery...

Pretty wildflowers along our walk

Flo and Big Red here at Brookhollow RV Park

Loaded baked potatoes and salad for supper.  Just a gorgeous evening - got a bag of ice (free here - machine is always open - just help yourself!!!)   Enjoyed one last bike ride thru the park.

Connor had appt. today with nurse practitioner (orthopedic Dr. who specializes in wrists is out of town this week).    So, this NP (who used to play hockey with Patrick) put him in a cast and he will return next Monday to see Dr. Oakey whose son, the boys know from hockey.    Another coincidence, when Connor was in ER Friday night, his male nurse is also Liam's hockey coach.

Connor and  cast

Bye bye Washington - thanks for all the beautiful memories!
