BLAIR IS "7"
  1. Susie Homemaker making cookies
  2. Happy Birthday, Sweetie!
We started this foggy morning with our little sunshine in North Carolina doing facetime as she opened her present from us.
A brand new Hello Kitty suitcase!
Blair is thee most imaginative, sweet, funny, thoughtful little girl.   Her personality is delightful, she loves to cuddle and is so into unicorns and Hello Kitty.

After breakfast, the fog cleared and it was a very pretty day with a high of 66.    And of course, it was very windy which made it feel much cooler!

We had Mass with Father Ren Tocci from St. Michael's in Hudson, MA.

We drove downtown and walked the boardwalk along the bay and read about the history of this area.    Back in the early 1900's, in the peak years, there were 71 mills operating in the Coos Bay region.

One of the uses for myrtlewood is for the production of golf putters.   The veneer cut from maple burl is used for the paneling in luxury cars such as the Rolls Royce and Ferrari.

The natural harbor of Coos Bay lies 475 miles north of San Francisco and 400 miles south of Seattle.

We had read about the murals downtown...... Steve Prefontaine a native of Coos Bay and a star runner was training for the 1976 Olympics when he was killed in an auto accident in 1975    He was only 24.

Entrance to the boardwalk and a little building selling "the best clam chowder and fish 'n chips"...
But....not open on Sundays!    Darn...
Baskets are overflowing, sooo pretty
and EVERYWHERE!

The Mill Casino is about 1/4 mile away from our park....the parking lot is always packed.    We wonder how they "social distance" all these people (mostly seniors) and especially how they keep those machines sanitized?

Today is "national ice cream day", so decided to patronize DQ and each have a blizzard.

Back to Flo, read, took power naps and then did 3 loads of laundry.   It is just across the street from Flo, so couldn't be any handier and it is very nice!!!

Zoom with 10 siblings and then carry out from The Blue Heron Bistro - we both had salmon dinners - very good!!!

Some memories from yesterday...
Birthday girl, Brooke, Michael, graduate Brady and shy Blair
Brady in his cap and gown and mask!

Wishing you all a safe, healthy week.   Tomorrow...
California, here we come!
