Sunday - July 2

Rained during the night - nice 'n gentle and a little drizzle, then some sunshine.  We had a leisurely morning till time for breakfast and then off to The Farm Stand (love this place but had never had breakfast) - a real winner and definitely will return + they have all the specialty coffees.

Mike and Janet left at 10:45 and have a 6+ hour trip back to Rockford, IL.    What a fun weekend - so glad we could show them where we hang out on Lake Erie!

Bye bye Janet and Mike (Catrina in background)

Mark helped Bob (neighbor) with some IT stuff (boat cameras).   I read and played games on my I-pad, tidied up Catrina and started making lists for our trip to Canada (leaving Thursday).

And then....the big yacht arrived "The Lucy Penguin".    We've been anxious to see this.   Brad who works at our marina has been the crew with boat captain, Drew delivering this yacht from Norfolk, VA (originated in Fort Lauderdale) to Holland, MI.    But along the way they had issues so it's here at Superior Marina and will be lifted out to determine the problems and $$$$.   The owner is waiting in Holland but already has a 90' yacht, so.....this 2019 beauty is 62' long and 22' wide - very modern and on the market for $3.2m

The Lucy Penguin

WOW....at 5:15, we had a real downpour!  And then the sun came out, skies looked clear but the sirens went off like crazy (tornado warning)???   Not sure what that was all about!

Bob and Donna invited us to come for drinks and snacks at 6.....I had plenty of appetizers from this weekend to contribute so between the 2 of us, we had quite a spread of wings, egg rolls, potstickers, salami, cheese, crackers, smoked salmon, sushi, trail mix, etc., etc.    Really enjoyed our visit!

While we were on "So Blessed", the heavens opened up 2x with heavy downpours.

Back to Catrina in time for 8:00 zoom session.   7 siblings tonight - discussed the derecho that went thru Danville, IL where Tom and Beth live.    They lost 4 big trees and parts of town are still out of power - 640 poles were damaged!

Enjoy your holiday week!
