This little sweetheart is "7"
Our younget grandchild was born July 20, 2016 and we remember so well that happy day when she arrived. These past 7 years have gone by sooo fast but what joy this little Miss has brought to our family. For several years, Maeve had so many curls (I called her Moppett) and now her hair is straight as ever. She's a girlie girl who loves her baby dolls, dress up, the outdoors, any and all craft projects (using paint, markers, tape, glue, etc., etc.) She's a crafty one for sure! Maeve will be in 2nd grade this fall and enjoys her friends at school and the camp.

What a big day for we nomads. The guy from Enterprise picked us up at the marina around 9:30, we went back to the office, did the paperwork and we were off. First stop was Starbucks and then headed east to see some of the ports we visited (or were not able to visit). We went as far as Long Point (that strip of land where among other activities, is the 2nd Sunday in July the Pottahawk Bash with thousands of boats and people.) Traveling alongside the lake, we passed many many corn fields (many were tassled out), beans, radishes, asparagus, onion fields and another we saw frequently, but no clue - may have to do some research? We passed many beautiful large homes, oodles and oodles of wind turbines, and oh-so-many greenhouses. With all the flowers up here, I just can't imagine what else these huge facilities grow - vegetables and other plants?
We had lunch in Port Stanley, a favorite from a few days ago. This time we ate at "That Breakfast Place" (breakfast/lunch) and we had lunch. We kept getting alerts on our phones about severe weather coming (possible tornado, hail, strong winds, heavy rain, etc.) We were driving south into Erieau (Mark wanted to see these places coming by land)......the rain had started and oh my...........we parked and sat in the car while the rain beat down, hail came off and on - what a deluge. Waited it out 1/2 hour and thankful when that was over. But shortly after we left Erieau, we came upon some nasty devastation south of Blenheim where 2 fire trucks were on the road with lots of trees and downed power lines. So sad to see this.
Before we came back to Catrina, Mark wanted to check out Kingsville (not able to handle us - a dock for the Pelee Island Ferry and many large fishing boats - nothing for pleasure boats). But we can say we were there. Colchester will be our next stop (Saturday??) and looks like a nice little town - they have sooo many beautiful wineries on huge estates, lots of vineyards, etc. This was an extra perk of our travels today.
We arrived back on Catrina (they had made all the folks who were on their boats to come to the office before the storm hit) The ladies beside us said it was quite something - yup it sure was.
