Easter Sunday - 2021

A joyous Easter here in Fort Myers with beautiful weather as the palm trees are swaying in the breeze, the birds are singing and the flowers are in full bloom!

We picked Lydia up for 9:00 Mass at St. Cecelia's (a new church for all of us) complete with organ, piano and trumpets, flowers, banners, and a lively priest, etc.    A true blessing to celebrate the Resurrection is such a beautiful place.

And then off to Cristof's to meet Jim and enjoy a wonderful brunch outdoors on this gorgeous day.    I had a shrimp benedict, Mark, the biscuits and gravy, Lydia, an omelet and Jim, bacon 'n eggs - all delicious.    On home....later we took a nap and just enjoyed a nice relaxing day.

Tomorrow Jim and Lydia head for home (St. Louis) and we know they are so anxious to meet their new grandson, Jackson.     We will miss them, but have a busy 10 days ahead of us before we leave on the 14th for Kamp Komfort.    Wishing them a safe trip and fun times with their family!

It was really neat to see so many people in church with their families all dressed up, church parking lots full and many dining out - a sign of getting back to some bit of normalcy.

We went for a walk late afternoon and said our good byes to Jim and Lydia....and their RV as they'll be getting a new, bigger one in May and a Jeep to tow!     Happy for them and can't wait to see their new home!

Bye bye - be safe and hope the brothers get their backs back in shape very soon?

Only 6 siblings tonight for Zoom, but still plenty of lively conversation coming from Nebraska, Florida and Illinois

Here's to a safe, healthy week!
