Saturday - April 3

 HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY

Congratulations to my brother Bob and Linda

April 3, 1971,  Mark's mother and sisters were in charge of 3-month old Michael and Anne while we were at the wedding.    We had just moved to Bloomington and Mark started his State Farm career.     Ahhh, love the memories.

A long time ago Mark and I were involved with "Engaged Couples Encounter" thru the Peoria Diocese where we were assigned an engaged couple and got together to discuss many aspects of marriage.   It was a really good experience for us and we met some wonderful couples who went on to long, happy marriages.    One of the couples was Dave and Kim. So sorry to hear today that their granddaughter Ava Marie died yesterday from a rare form of cancer.    She was 2 weeks from her first birthday.

Around 4 this afternoon we drove downtown and had a late lunch/early dinner at Cabo Cantina - one of our favorite Mexican places and 1st time for this year.   We sat outside and it was so pleasant and delicious.    Then for a long walk around downtown and on home.

Mark F and I beat Nancy and Mark C 3 of 3 games tonight!

Love this memory from 2008 - Liam and Connor trying to figure out these hula hoops wearing their Jury's Out shirts (Daddy's band)
