It's Luke's "GOLDEN" birthday!!!
Our sweet boy is 8 on the 8th!
Hard to believe this guy is 8 already.....he is a very active 2nd grader who loves his family, friends, school and sports. Always enjoy chatting with him and his seriousness and explanation of things. He is Mr. Cautious but also fun-loving and still enjoys Grandma's cuddles!
I went for my walk and as I was coming past the front entrance, Mark was leaving (I knew he was planning to get a Hardees biscuits 'n gravy fix) so I hopped in the car and went with him and got a yummy biscuit out of the deal! HA.....
Back to CT and walked some more and then on home to shower and leave again....
For the birthday people (Luke today and Annette, tomorrow), they enjoyed a little getaway to the Grove Park Inn near Asheville.
We left around 10ish for my haircut with a stop at the Island Java Cafe 1st.....while I was getting my last new "do" from Jewel, Mark got the car washed and picked up a few things from Publix. Then we were off to have lunch at the Dixie Fish Co. We were "hoping" the traffic wouldn't be as bad now that most spring breaks are over - WRONG!!! Heavy traffic going to the beach and only reason we chose this spot was we had a gift card (thanks to Anne's generosity) to use up. But once we got there - all worth it - great food and thee best sangria.
On home for a short nap, read and just hang out! It's another warm one - mid 80's but we got our steps in.
Played euchre with Mark and Nancy - the guys beat the gals 2 of 3. Always fun to catch up and play some cards (even though they aren't always the best)!
