Full and productive day, that did not always go in the direction we expected.

First stop of the day was Lunch in Valdese, NC at 100 Main restaurant.  Great reviews and we totally agree.  Pat had Club sandwich and carrot apple soup. I had the Sammy Pork sandwich.  Excellent.  Decided we need to come here again.

On to EmergOrtho office to meet with the PA Shane Tolbert.  After X-rays he talked thru options.

Option one for seniors that are not active is:  Do nothing, let it heal.  Plus - no surgery, minus - will always have pain when you lift the arm on that side.

Option two - Shoulder replacement.

If we do surgery, wherever we do it you need to stay in the area in case there are complications.  Thus his recommendation was:  go to Florida for your surgery and rehab.  Waiting is not different than starting with Option One.   People that choose option one can always move to Option two - surgery.

He did order a CT scan for us as the eventual surgeon will want to see the details of the damage.  We went to Valdese Hospital to get the scan and results are on a CD for anyone to view.

Since Pat adds photos frequently I decided to add a photo of her shoulder.
