Welcome

NOVEMBER

Hello from North Carolina!    We left our hotel in Augusta at 8 and headed to Cafe Dulce for a latte.   We were here last December and remembeered it was a very nice new place.    The sun was shining, the skies a deep blue but only in the low 40's.

Stopped in Clinton, SC for gas for Ruby, lunch in Rutherfordton at The Copper Penney for us.    When we were here in December, 2022, Michael suggested we have lunch here but the timing wasn't good, so that didn't happen.    Today we planned on this place and it was excellent.    Neat building, large menu and sooo good.   I had boom boom shrimp tacos, potato salad and okra.    Mark had a bowl of cheesesteak chili - we shared everything and loved it all + came home with some leftovers.

Arrived at Michael and Brooke's at 1 and started unloading all out lock, stock and barrel stuff!    Ha.....we are going to be here for a month, so....

Said hi and bye to Brooke as she was off to take Blair to orthodontist to have adjustment on her retainer and other errands.   Talked briefly to Michael who was working!   As always, so good to be here.

With these deep blue skies and brilliant sunshine, the trees were sooo pretty.    Although a lot of leaves have fallen and many trees are bare, I was definitely able to get my fall color fix!

We visited Philip, Annette, Luke and Maeve - the kiddos are on a 3-day fall break, so fun to play SkyJo with them which Philip won and then 2 games of euchre which Annette and I won against the guys.

Brooke has collected Madame Alexander dolls for years (also her Mom).    Two that she did not have were Bonnie Blue Butler  and Bohemia,   My friend Beth had these 2 and gave them to Brooke!    Happy for all.
