August 27

Started off this Friday with cherry cream cheese strudel that I bought at the Farmer's Market  and oh my, was it ever good!   We left South Haven after 2 days/3 nights of good eating, shopping, visiting and just enjoying our return to this neat little town.

We cruised 24 miles to Saugatuck, another favorite port - much busier than South Haven, but did get a slip for the next 2 nights at Tower Marina.   We dinghied over to town, had a great lunch at The Mermaid and then I browsed around the shops and Mark came back to his Catrina job list (still working on the auto pilot)!   I brought the water taxi back to the boat.   It was another gorgeous day.

The Michigan schools do not start till after Labor Day so lots of families still vacationing.   This is a real happening place and very artsy community also known as the B and B capital of the Midwest.
