Thursday - May 19

Miss Blair woke up, had breakfast and then it was play doh time!

Sweet Pea LOVES play doh!!!

Another dreary, chilly, rainy day.    The 3 boys all had class field trips today - Drew to Carowinds, an amusement park near Charlotte; Davis is in the Outer Banks until late Friday night; Brady and Michael are in Raleigh, the state capitol..

Brooke went to the lake house to meet a shade installer and Grandpa and I hung out with the Princess.   I did a load of laundry, reorganized the car and enjoyed Blair.

Brooke's beautiful clemantis

This afternoon we were off to Roanoke, VA to stay with my cousin's husband, Bert (Clarine passed away last November from brain cancer).     Bert and his caregiver, Michael, are planning to see the air show with us this weekend in Lynchburg.    Weather is not too promising with more chilly, rainy days ahead!

Dr. Blair giving the patient a shot (she loves playing doctor)!

Connor hit an inside-the-park homeroom last night!!!!    Yeah Connor!

We arrived I Roanoke at 4:45 - it is so beautiful here - peaceful and tranquil     Had a wonderful visit over wine and delicious dinner prepared by Michael.     Lots of reminiscing about Clarine, and catching up on our families, the Blue Angels, etc.

Mark and Bert outdoors - home overlooks the city of Roanoke.
