Thursday - May 26

This week has flown by and after 4 busy, fun days in Annapolis, we are “on the road again”.     We will return in 2 weeks and look forward to spending more time with our friends, Charlotte and Doug.   Checked out of our hotel and drove to Tracy’s Landing to get a few more things off Catrina (still ongoing issues and making some new plans).    We had breakfast at South County in Deale (a cute little breakfast/lunch spot with REALLY good food!).    At 9:20, we were on our way to North Carolina.
The Blue Angels fly to Jones Beach New York today for the holiday weekend shows.    They will return to Annapolis on Friday for 10:04 AM flyover at the Naval Academy graduation.
As I wrote a few days ago, Commissioning Week in Annapolis is a very BIG deal when the families come to celebrate their son/daughter’s graduation all week long   There are 1,000+ graduates and each averages 15 family members, and along with alumni, Blue Angel fans, etc., makes for a huge influx of visitors.

It was a warm sunny day for traveling – I drove for about 100 miles.    Since we had a big breakfast, just had some ice cream and a quick stop in Mckenney, VA.
We are thinking of Mark’s Dad today on what would have been his 95th birthday!    We sure miss him and imagine he and ”Mom” are celebrating together.
Arrived in Newton at 5 – can’t believe we left here just 1 week ago today - packed in lots with travels to VA and MD.
Blair ran right past me into Grandpa's arms, squealing "GRANDPA" "GRANDPA"!
She immediately wanted to play make-up!
Taking turns with the make-up brushes
I am so special having my Grandpa making me oh-so-pretty!
Had a heavy rainstorm around 5:30 but didn't last long!
Philip, Annette and Luke announced on Facebook today that their baby girl (sister) is coming July 20th     We are all very excited!
Sorry to hear Connor has a bad sore throat and fever.    Went to the doctor and not strep, a viral thing, so doctor didn't give him anything.   Glad school is out and hope he recovers soon as they are going on a camping trip this weekend!
So...we are here for the next 10 days to celebrate with Davis (8th grade graduation), fun at Lake James and then Grandpa and I will stay with the kiddos while Michael and Brooke are off to San Diego (business and pleasure)!
