It is time to catch up this blog.....what a whirlwind fun weekend in St Louis!    We are still on a "High"....here goes:

Thursday - Daisy is having some maintenance done while we're gone and after my doctor appointment, we were on our way to St. Louis.    Checked into the Hilton downtown and later, walked 2 blocks to Kemoll's (on the 40th floor of the tallest building downtown) where we met 3 of Mark's siblings, spouses and Ryan for dinner.    Fabulous view of the Arch and surrounding area and excellent dinner.   It was so fun to just sit and relax with family and have some quality time with Ryan which doesn't happen very often.

No clue why the waitress held the phone at this angle?

Friday - we checked out of the hotel and moved out to Chesterfield, MO (west) and into the Hampton (headquarters for the Chamberlain reunion).     20 of us went to the air show practice this afternoon - weather was mid 70's, sunny and clear blue skies.   Had a great time being together and had pictures taken afterwards with the pilots.   That evening 22 of us had dinner at The Brick House right beside the hotel.    Fun evening, great dinner and back to hotel for games and visiting.    Several more including Anne, Liam and Connor arrived that evening.

Saturday -  Chilly, windy and very cloudy!    Today is our big Chamberlain Family and Friends day at the airport with around 140 coming to our chalet to enjoy the show (many for the first time) and see Ryan in action!   Mark and I left around 8:50 for the airport and got things set up in our chalet.   Can't say enough about the organizers for this show and how great it was to work with Stephanie Newman.    We had a large tent, several round tables with chairs, pretty potted plants with red geraniums and small American flags.    Also plenty of water, 2 port-a-potties and some snacks.

The folks started arriving all bundled up against the strong wind and cold - burrrrr.....fortunately late morning, the clouds parted and the blue skies brought on the warm sunshine.    It was perfect (well, it could've been warmer and less wind).....but love those clear skies!     It was a great day having so many family and friends with us and they got to see some awesome performers
(Canadian Snowbirds, F-22 Raptor, B-2 Stealth Bomber, etc.)!

The Chamberlains gathered at Love Park for our reunion catered dinner - awesome food and the kids played on the playground along with bean bag toss and washers.    We ate, visited just a bit and headed back to the hotel to warm up!     More fun visiting.    BIG day and we are sooo tired!

Sunday - Felt so good to sleep in a bit and had breakfast with more family before we said our good- byes.   We went to 10:45 Mass at Church of the Ascension.   Our very young priest commented that "today is the Feast of Pentecost and we normally think of the Holy Spirit descending over us - however.....it's the roar of the F-18's this weekend!"    And everyone had a good chuckle!

After Mass, we went to Jim and Lydia's home for a good visit, ate rhubarb pie and strawberry/nut bread (YUM) and see their newly remodeled kitchen!   WOW....beautiful and spacious!    On our way around 2:00.   Beautiful day and not so windy!    We stopped at Anne and Patrick's after they arrived home from Liam's ballgame.    Said our good-byes and Mark left to pick up Daisy.    We met at Kamp Komfort, settled in for the night and sweet dreams.

Thinking back to 1 year ago today when we closed on our house!!!

Monday - Up early and had Daisy delivered to a large facility (Cummins Crosspoint) in Normal for RV's and semi's.    We took off in the car for the laundromat and did 2 loads, had coffees at Gloria Jeans.    Then we met the breakfast group and fun to catch up with them with lots of talk about the air show.    We had some more errands to run, stopped at Avanti's for gondolas and then to check on Daisy.   They have a nice waiting area so I caught up on e-mails while Mark read.   Finally at 3:00, Daisy was done and we were on our way....

Tonight we are at Sugar Creek RV Park in Crawfordsville, IN (stayed here 2 weeks go tomorrow night on our way back to Bloomington).
So, we nomads are on the move again.....heading to VA via NC for a grandchildren fix!

Can't wait to see my Sweet Pea in just 2 days!
