Tuesday - May 10

ANOTHER rainy, cool day.....rained a lot overnight!    We were both off early for 8;30-8:45 appts. with Dr. Lucy (dermatologist).    They took us in together and all is good with the skin!

I came back to Daisy and Mark went on his way with several errands, including a haircut.    Claire and I met in the afternoon at Satio (new place downtown that is a wine bar and serves lunch and then heavy hors d'oeuvres in the evening.)    This was a favorite lunch spot for us when it was A. Renee, but now after new owners and nicely remodeled it's called "Satio" - SaTeeO.    Neat place.   We had a glass of wine and chatted, checked 2 new shops downtown and then on our way...

Back to Daisy and read my book "One Summer America 1927" by Bill Bryson.    Really enjoying this book and ALL that occurred in 1927.   Mark finished reading it his afternoon.
  Recommend this one!!!

I met the Sublettians at Busy Corner.   Only 4 of us and we missed Ann whose husband, John had surgery tonight for a detached retina.   Glad to hear that was successful and now a serious 2-week recovery.    We 4 enjoyed our dinner, pie and lots of lively conversation!

Out here in the country at Kamp Komfort, the corn is sure popping up with all this rain.    The sun came out later this afternoon.....now hoping for some abundant sun AND warmer temps!!!
