Tuesday - May 24

Beautiful sunny day and these folks in Maryland are thrilled to have the sun and warm temps back after 3 weeks of rain......unreal!    Usually April and May are gorgeous spring months, but not so this year!

Mark had some errands this morning and I walked across the street for a manicure.    The gal who did my nails worked for 7 years in Bloomington at La Nails at Eastland Mall.!    Wow...you just never know who you're going to meet along the way!    Then as I was walking back to the hotel, I saw our friend Charlotte in her car coming into CVS parking lot!   What a nice surprise!!!    We had a good visit and will catch up more tomorrow at the air show.

Mark and I left for downtown, parked the car and had lunch at Miss Shirley's Café (a Charlotte recommendation from 1 year ago).   It  was wonderful and there is also a location in Baltimore's
Inner Harbor - put this on your list if you're in Annapolis or Baltimore.

After lunch we walked to the Naval Academy and the practice session for the Blue Angels.    What a pleasant day to sit outside - good crowd and fun to meet up with other family members.

After the show, we ran into Dr. Mark and Heather DeBusse.   Mark was the flight surgeon (team doctor) for the Blues in 2012-14.    They are good friends of Ryan and we always enjoy visiting with them.    They invited us to a Blue Angel Alumni reception and we met other former Blues, had some drinks and appetizers and a really fun visit with Mark and Heather.    Mark just finished his 1st of 5 years to becoming an orthopedic surgeon.  Heather is a teacher.

They walked back with us to where our car was parked.   We said good-bye and after checking out the very heavy traffic, we went into the Westin, had a drink and felt so good to just sit.    Finally around 6, we were back on our way to our hotel and now, just having a quiet evening - very tired, but what a fun day1
