Monday - July 11

After all that fresh air up north, the "heat is on"!!!     Arrived in at the Cave Country Campground in Cave City, KY at 3:45.    Good traveling after we exercised and got on the road at 9:15.

We noticed the corn had started tasseling in IN but out big time here in KY......it's very pretty here and just down the road is the famous Mammoth Cave, Diamond Cave and many others.    We are surrounded by cornfields.

Kentucky cornfield

I did 2 loads of laundry and we just settled in and enjoyed the AC.....

We had sweet potatoes and my leftover delicious walleye from last night for supper and while we were eating watched Ryan live from Pensacola doing a "Solos in the City" segment.   Neat!!!

Walked around the campground tonight and what we love about being in the country -
so pretty, calm and peaceful!

It's raining - where did that come from as it was so nice out earlier - cooled off a bit!   Oh well...the rain is most welcome I'm sure!

A wife, mother, Pensacola native and lifelong Blue Angel fan wrote a very inspiring article for the Pensacola News Journal....here it is:
