Cool, bright and sunshiny start to the day! Today we did not do the air show but Mark worked on his job list and paper work and I did a load of laundry. Then we drove to Charlevoix (1+ hour north of here). Couldn't believe how cool it was when we were by the water....but always have enjoyed this pretty town and more good boating memories. We found a neat place for lunch and ate outdoors in the sunshine (East Park Tavern).
Mark had a white fish gyro and I enjoyed my shrimp tacos.
A gorgeous day to stroll the streets and then drove back to Traverse City stopping at Friske Orchards for some wonderful fresh cherries, a cherry donut (we shared) and chicken salad with fresh cherries!
We could hear the Blues and occasionally get a glimpse from here in our park (8 miles away)!
Tonight we went to the Mission Peninsula which is a strip of land between the east and west arms of Traverse Bay. My friend, Claire's sister, Maryhelen and husband Jerry live on the Peninsula and we had a delightful evening enjoying their lovely home and beautiful setting over the Bay - WOW
Dinner was wonderful and so much fun visiting!
Maryhelen and Jerry
Looking forward to seeing them again Monday for the air show and celebrate July 4th!
