Friday-Sunday, July 13-15

We are back "on the road again" and heading to NY with Liam, Connor and Brady....had a lot of fun at Lake James.   Here's a recap of the past few days...

Friday - cloudy but warm.    Mark took the boys to the camp for swimming and lunch.    Brooke, Blair and I had lunch with Annette and Maeve at their house.  Anne and Patrick went to Marion for lunch and some groceries.

Brady, Liam and Connor ready for some cousin fun!

Landscapers are working away at Philip and Annette's house and in the afternoon, a diver came to Philip's dock and we all watched from the pontoon as he went down to make sure all areas were safe for swimming and diving.     Annette's lost sunglasses were retrieved (yeah) along with another pair from someone???

Davis returned from camp - he enjoyed his time at Wake Forest University.

We had pulled pork BBQ and all the fixins' for supper and sang Happy Birthday to Miss Blair who will be 5 on Thursday.

Sunday - Anne and Patrick left at 6 AM for home and arrived at 4 (central time).   Mark, Michael, Philip and I went to 9:00 Mass at St. Charles Borromeo in Morganton.    Brooke took the boys to 11:00 at Holy Angels in Marion.    Mark and I stayed with Luke and Maeve while Philip and Annette went over their new landscaping and more coming up with Jennifer, head landscaper.    Off to Michael's for lunch and then we started loading up the truck with our stuff, got the sheets and towels washed and beds remade.

Michael and Philip had Luke and Blair at the camp swimming.   Said our good byes to all...and we were off with the kiddos.

Big thank you to our host and hostess +++ Blair for another fun stay at the lake

Had to make a detour cause of 53-minute back-up.....then the rain, thunder and lightning came!    Ugh....we didn't go as far as planned but tonight we a in Beckley, WV and only 68 when we arrived.    By popular demand, the boys all wanted to eat at Cracker Barrel which was close by.    Good night for comfort food - pancakes, French toast, baked apples and chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuits - all delish!

Chowin' down....
