Independence Day - 2018

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA...
God Bless the USA

After breakfast we were on a mission at Home Depot and Lowe's shopping for things (vanity, countertop, faucet, shower, toilet, flooring, paint color, etc.) for our little "tiny" house or "shed" in Fort Myers.    We pick things out and then send our wishes to the contractor.   Sure glad we're not building a house!!!!!

Stopped at Target for a few things - that place was a ZOO and then back to Catrina where we plan to stay put this busy, HOT day.   It got to 96 with the heat index at 105 today.    So many boaters out and about, picnics and partying going on, lots of red, white and blue clothing, Old Glory flying and tonight the fireworks here off Tonawanda Island with ringside seats for us on Catrina's bridge.
This afternoon we walked to AJ's Snack Shack here at the Smith Boys Marina which is huge.   Mike and Heather are the owners.   A (Alexa) and J (Jules) are their daughters.  How neat to have this colorful little spot to choose all kinds of yummy sandwiches, drinks, ice cream, etc.    We each had some ice cream and then shared a very good grilled hot dog topped with pulled pork and cole slaw!    DELISH!

We are off on a little getaway tomorrow - Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.    Looking forward to this area we've heard so much  about.   And also planning to check out St. Catharines.
