Monday - August 8

 Rainy Monday....

The big semi arrived with the steel beams and the crane was erected to get them off.

Some excitement here this morning at Superior Marine

Mark went to Coffee Express for our coffees and we shared a morning glory muffin.    Shortly after he left, the heavens opened up and what a deluge (haven't seen rain like that for awhile)!    Sure felt for all the workers (many guys here in cars and trucks and heavy equipment) who had to skedaddle inside when the downpour came    While we were in Vermilion, they got a lot of the rebar installed.

The workers resumed their jobs after 1 hour and rest of the day was dry and humid.    Sun came out around 2:30!

Mark worked on installing a 2nd remote holding tank gauge accessible from the outside.

I worked on photo book project for Luke and Blair.    Also tidied up Flo and made sure everything is stowed away.   Friday we are taking her to Jackson Center and will leave her for a week or so for maintenance.    Flo has an appointment at the Airstream headquarters on August 17.

We tried a new restaurant tonight - The Orchard on Catawba Island....very neat decor along with a patio (we decided to eat indoors).    It was excellent (Mark had the apple butter pork chop and I had the Cajun seafood fettuccini - lobster, scallops and shrimp) - wonderful!!!!
We drove next door to the Orchard Stand (casual dining, gift shop coffee, bakery, etc.)    This looked like a really neat place, too.    First time to visit this area...impressive!

Around 6 when we were driving around (I was reading about the sad passing of Olivia Newton John), it started raining and oh my........another gully washer and definitely heavier than this morning.   We stopped at Kroger to get a Rx - what a torrential downpour!    But finally on back to Catrina to dry off and hunker down.

Brooke and Blair playing in the stream which runs thru Teton Village
Maybe panning for GOLD?

Tomorrow our friends Mark and Brenda (Cypress Trail and New Philadelphia, Ohio) are coming for a few days to visit and bringing their Airstream "Goldilocks"!
