Tuesday - August 9

Cloudy and cool.....a real change in the weather after more rain last night for a total of  1.2"

Mark worked more on the gauge and its all calibrated!    Tah dah....we did a pump out and he cleaned 2 big ball fenders.    Jobs done and lunch by 12:30.

I've been on the hunt to find the package of buns I bought Sunday at Kroger's.    We have the brats, but...now I can't find the buns ANYWHERE.    Catrina is a "tiny" house, so after looking in the obvious (and beyond) places, I'm so baffled!   I guess I better check in with St. Anthony!

A couple from Washington State arrived yesterday.    They bought their boat in April and started the Loop in Oriental, NC and now....having issues, so the boat was lifted out yesterday and mechanics are working.    They could be here for several days...

We left at 4 to meet Mark and Brenda who were settled in with Goldilocks at the Chautauqua Lakeside Campground.    We met at the Gideon Owen Winery parking lot and then went on a little driving tour around Lakeside/Catawba Island.    Back to the winery for dinner....wow, what a gorgeous place inside and out with a lovely landscape (so many areas to sit around a fire and enjoy a glass of wine).  We had a great visit over delicious dinner and drinks - definitely a return place!    So good to be with Mark and Brenda again and tomorrow....planning an outing on Catrina.

Mark and Brenda

Back to Catrina and walked a bit - such a lovely evening....the sun came out around 6ish and just delightful!
