Tuesday - August 2

The AC is back on in our main salon (we have a separate one for the bedrooms).     Cheryl delivered the new pump at 11:45 and 1 hour,  20 minutes later, tah dah!!!     Very thankful Mark is mechanically inclined that he can fix some of these boat issues!!!

We drove a short distance for a pump out at Vermilion Boat Club - nice folks and also got a bag of ice and then back to our wall at McGarvey's.    Catrina was in dire need of a good scrubbing so that's what we did + Mark cleaned 2 of the fenders.

They say the fishing this summer has been incredible and sure the case with as many boats that go out every day with their crew.

Had BLT's for lunch - my Captain certainly deserved his very favorite sandwich after getting the AC back on!!!   We actually turned it off for a bit and opened the windows as it was in the 70's today.

We walked downtown at 4 to Granny Joe's for ice cream and then strolled around checking out the beach and Vermilion Port Authority marina.   While we were watching all the beach goings on, there were 5 Amish/Mennonite ladies wearing colorful dresses (solid pink, green, blue, lavender, etc.).   They had been walking in the water having fun.    Later when we were back on Catrina's bridge, Mark saw these same ladies on their electric bikes riding across the Vermilion River bridge heading out of town!!!!    Not something you see every day!

Mark ordered a new dinghy one year ago from a dealer in Port Clinton.   We knew it was on back order, but he checked with the guy a few days ago.....it has been made but on a cargo ship in China waiting to be shipped out and that takes 10-12 weeks once it leaves?     Next summer????
