We were leaving the dock at 7:30 this morning, saying bye bye to Vermilion and thanks for some great memories
Coming out of the Vermilion entrance (lagoon homes in background)
We passed this lovely sight - big surprise as there was no rain near us?
Somewhere over the Rainbow.....skies are blue!
We also came across a HUGE bunch of fishermen (Mark estimated 200+ boats) near Put in Bay and Middle Bass Island...must've been a big tournament. Too far away to get a good photo. It was a gorgeous day on the water!
We arrived in Port Clinton to make the11:00 bridge opening and very happy to report that there were NO alarms going off along the way? Mark is baffled about this port engine. Jim (mechanic) had said we could run it at various speeds which Mark did (except for wide open at an hour or more) and it ran like a charm? The mystery continues!!!
We went to 4:30 Mass at Immaculate Conception - so good to be back with Father Jonathan!
Stopped at "Baby" Bassetts for a few groceries and on home. Barb, the owner of "WhimSea" is here tonight (from Vermilion) and came aboard Catrina for a very enjoyable 2.5 hr. happy hour and visit. Barb has had her tugboat for 10 years and now planning to sell. I sure admire here and all the traveling she's done by herself! Her brother spends the winters in Bonita Springs, so hopefully we can connect sometime over the winter.
Barb and WhimSea" to the right
We are sure thinking of Michael, Brooke, Brady and Blair who are "glamping" (upscale camping) tonight and tomorrow night in Yellowstone!
