Whew, what a long day which started when Mark got up at 4 AM and 5:30 for me.   We left Alexandria Bay at  6:10, stopped in Cape Vincent for fuel and then crossed Lake Ontario - we had beam seas (waves coming from the side) with some pounding- not fun, but we've certainly been in worse!    We spent a few hours in Oswego and then started the New York Canal System and did 7 locks on the Oswego River.

We started just off I-81 (Thousand Islands Bridge) and we ended up 13 hours later just off of I-81 near Brewerton.   If you were driving by car, it's 84 miles (1 hour, 35 minutes).    Took us 11 hours of running time!!!

We locked thru #23 (which is the 1st lock on the Eastern Erie Canal  at 7:55 PM and are tied up along brand new walls).     It was a beautiful day and evening, so we just kept chugging and also.....to get to Brewerton, NY (just a mile away) where Mark and Catrina will hang out for a while while I fly out of Syracuse tomorrow-----my Dad is not doing well...

It is a real challenge getting all the logistics figured out when traveling on a boat and you need to get somewhere especially in the remote and/or small towns we've been in.   No rental cars, not close to any airports, etc.   My Captain is doing a fine job!  Will keep in touch...

Patrick's Mother continues to struggle with her health issues, too!   Lots of prayers needed for
 peace and comfort.
