Tuesday - August 1

Started the day unpacking and putting all our stuff away and tidying up Catrina.    Mark exercised and then we were off to Philz for coffee/tea and pastries.

Walked to Harris Teeter for a few groceries and enjoyed lunch from their many choices of food bars - this is a wonderful store (I had Asian and Mark had good ole American with meatloaf, mashed potatoes, etc.)

I got some wonderful pampering from Angela this afternoon with a mani-pedi (including a lavender sea salt scrub)!     This new salon "Cosmopolitan Nail Lounge" is just a block away from our marina - very classy place and no more expensive than others.

There was lots of debris in the water when we returned last night.    Ryan had told us they had a bad storm while we were gone and 3 people died from flooding.    We moved Catrina to a different spot(T-dock) as the low tide brings in the nasty stuff and high tide takes it away.     We are out in the open now so it can't get trapped.    Eventually it will clear up.

It got to 90 today and felt hot, but humidity was just 50%.    We took our wine to Catrina's bridge and enjoyed the late afternoon breeze and cooler temps.   Sitting up here with great views, we counted 10 large cranes with so much construction going on!    We had some thunder, lightning and dark clouds, but no rain!

Been texting Ryan - he has arrived in Sydney and 14 hours ahead of us!    We're keeping an eye on Terraphobic as he did with Catrina while we were gone!     He is 1300 miles away from his cousin Matt and family in Townsville (city in Queensland).

My Aunt Marian (almost 89 years young) at Wrigley Field tonight
GO CUBBIES...

So looking forward to the sisters arriving tomorrow!

Liam and Connor are now gearing up for the Corpus Christi baseball schedule.    Liam is playing varsity and Connor, JV.

Walking past the Nationals ballpark tonight.    Anne and family are planning to see the Cubbies play the Nats on Sunday at Wrigley Field!   Both teams are HOT!
