Wednesday - August 2

Started the day walking at 7:30 and "the heat is on".    As I was walking along the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail and seeing all the debris, trash, crappy mess (whatever you want to call it). it makes me so angry that a big big % of this wouldn't be here if people would dispose of their trash in the right place!    That's my "irk" for the day!   UGH!!!!

So many parks in this area, + dog-walking and play areas, sand volleyball, shallow swim area with waterfall for the kiddies to play, exercise classes every evening as people stroll around, eating in or outside!    Busy lifestyle here in DC.    There are so many beautiful condos around us and as we watched the window washers yesterday having our lunch at Harris Teeters, Mark checked online and a 848 sq. ft. 1-bedroom, 1 bath condo goes for $3,500-4,000 a month!

We have nice view of this lovely Crepe Myrtle from Catrina

Cool down after my walk and then we were off to Philz for our daily fix followed by a visit to CVS for some piddlies.    Stopped at Harris Teeter's for a few items and back to the cool confines of Catrina.

This sweet picture came thru from Shutterfly Memories today...

We took the Metro to Alexandria and met the sisters at their lovely condo - wow!    16th floor (top) and sooo nice with well-stocked cupboards and fridge!

We sat and yakked and yakked for an hour and then took the Metro to King Street.    Had a wonderful dinner at Joe Theismann's and more good visiting and catching up!

On our way to King Street
