We left Delaware City at 6:10 AM and had an enjoyable ride (60 miles) to Cape May, New Jersey where we are planning to stay for 2 nights.    Family-owned and operated by the Utsch Family, this marina has been serving Cape May since 1951 and has 300 slips.    We arrived at 9:30 and after settling in, I made ham/cheese omelets.

This afternoon, we did 3 loads of laundry and had some sprinkles off and on.   We had a late lunch on Catrina and then walked a bit - we were last here at Utsch's in 2011.  We were given the same goodie bag as 6 years ago with a bottle of wine, 3 biscotti treats, bar of homemade peppermint soap, etc.   Know this only cause we checked back on the blog.

In 2000, we were in Cape May (different marina) helping with the delivery of Philip's new boat from Boston to Baltimore.    We had Ryan with us (15 at the time), Philip and his roommate, Jason.

Around 5, we started walking towards downtown - Cape May is the oldest beach town in the country and just full of lovely cottages and huge homes either private residences, inns or B and B's   One more beautiful than the other and all part of this charming community.   And then there's the flowers - they are everywhere and so many homes have their entire front yard full of blooms.

 Unique homes and lovely gardens

There were so many people out and about this lovely evening......we went to 6:30 Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea - a beautiful church right in the heart of the pedestrian mall where all the shops,  restaurants and action is!

After mass we walked around and had some yummy sandwiches at "The Ugly Mug" and then brought Uber home.
