Thursday - August 10

Sunny start to the day.....there's always something happening here on the Anacostia River and at The Yards Park...

This morning the "pick-up trash" machine was out and about gathering logs and other debris floating along.

And last night, several rowing teams went zipping by us.  And always every night, the Zumba or other exercise classes are going on.   The Yards is a busy place.

Rowing team

and tonight the kayaks and paddle boarders were out
Just a few that cruised past us!

We walked to Potbelly for breakfast and then to the post office.   On our way back we stopped and sat in the shade watching the construction on a high rise as the cement was lifted by crane to 10th floor (not sure how tall this is going to be).    Quite interesting.

We both got haircuts this afternoon, one final stop at Harris Teeters (we hope) and on "home".    We had thought maybe we would do a few more museums or attend a Nationals ballgame (my thoughts), but we have run out of steam....ha!

Can't believe this is our last night in DC.....sure have enjoyed our stay here, but ready to move on and back to cruising!

Michael went to orthopedic doctor today - had x-rays taken but showed nothing.    Still hurting and will have MRI on Monday!

Ryan came for dinner - rotisserie chicken, wild rice (delish, Charlotte) and salad!

Just chillin' on our last night together in DC

Tour guide, PJ and crazy tourists straining to see the beauty of the capital rotunda on Monday!

Miss Maeve....as her Mommy says, the caption could read
"Does this diaper make my belly look big"?
