Sunday - August 13

The sun was shining, water was calm and we were off at 7:40 AM.

Bye bye Annapolis - thanks for another great memory!

Weather forecast called for 5 mph winds BUT we had 2 hours of winds at 10-15 against the current making for rough, pounding seas!   UGH!    Mark was flabbergasted.....as even listening to current weather reports, said 5 mph.   Oh well, we survived and very thankful when things calmed down.   It was so pretty in northern Maryland with the hilly landscape, lovely homes, etc.

We arrived in Delaware City at 12:45 - what a neat, quaint little town.    After settling in, we walked about 1/4 mile to the "town".....on a red-brick path all the way to.cute little shops and restaurants, and pretty park along the Delaware River     We are 52 miles from Philadelphia (by car).

We had a great lunch of shrimp (regular and coconut), corn balls and delicious orange crushes (me) - beer for Mark.

Awesome orange crush

Onto Cape May, New Jersey tomorrow
