Wednesday - August 9

Clear blue skies started the day......after breakfast we walked to the metro with Reagan Airport, our destination.    Met the sisters who were driving our truck at American departures, more good-bye hugs and we then we hopped in the truck and they were off to their gate.

Later we picked Ryan from work (1/2 day) at 1:00 and we were off to Costco as we both needed to stock up.    Back to the boats to unload.

Mark and I walked to Harris Teeters around 5ish for a "final" grocery run.    Stocking up for our big trip coming....hoping to leave Friday and head north

We always walk past the Department of Transportation on our way to the grocery store, and what a surprise to see this guy coming down the steps....
Our friend, Doug and fellow PDQ owner from Annapolis.    What a nice surprise!

Another FUN school day for Luke

Enjoyed a nice evening on Catrina's bridge with Ryan.    Mark grilled burgers and also had baked beans and macaroni salad.   So good to catch up with him on a gorgeous evening as we heard the shouts and cheers from the Nationals game.

Happy to hear that all the sisters arrived home safely.    It was a great week and so glad they came and enjoyed our nation's capital!
