 Happy 245th Birthday, America!

God Bless America

A beautiful day to celebrate our nation's birthday.    We went to 10:30 Mass at Immaculate Conception with Father Jonathan.    For the first time since March 2020, they had altar servers, a deacon, ushers taking up the collection and holy water.    It was so neat hearing the patriotic music and all the red, white and blue clothing.

We went to WalMart to gather Luke and Blair's favorites and replenish our fridge and cupboards.    Came  home and put the groceries away, had lunch and a nice quiet afternoon for me - Mark worked on the dinghy making sure all is in good order for the kiddos.

Around 4ish we went for a little ride - lots of people on the beach and anchored out on their boats - perfect day to be on the water.    West Marine did not have what Mark was looking for, but 3 doors away, there was Toft's Ice Cream Parlor with 51 flavors.   Mark had Rocky Road and I had the lemon blueberry cheesecake - both excellent!

With all the 4th of July festivities, not surprised that only 5 siblings did zoom tonight - Theresa, Joan, Sharon, Karen and us.

With the street lamps from downtown and boats next to us, our view wasn't the best, but we still enjoyed Port Clinton's 18-minute show and also 3 places behind us put on a good show.

Tomorrow we are off to Buffalo (270 miles)....
