Thursday - November 4

We had a very fun day!    Off to Bradenton at 9:15 with some light rain along the way and a stop in Venice at Black/Gold Coffee Roasters for some yummy coffee - another neat coffee cafe!

Arrived at our long-time friends, Lee and Tamara's beautiful condo on a golf course and the chatter began!!!!   We were last together in Bloomington for breakfast at Times Past on May 8th.    Within 8 weeks of that get together, they had sold their home, cleared everything out, packed up and moved to their new FL home.

Tamara and Lee

They are loving their home, condo community, and keeping active with golf.    We visited for a while and then went to "The Breakfast Company" - wow, what an awesome place featuring breakfast/lunch, open 7-2 and offering a fabulous bakery soon as you walk in the door (amazing muffins, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, etc., etc., etc.)    Lee and Tamara had breakfast and Mark and I enjoyed lunch.    Such a great sounding menu (one of those EVERYTHING sounds sooo good).   They also offer all the coffee selections, wine, beer, bellini's, mimosas, etc.   I asked our waitress who I should talk to about opening a "Breakfast Company" in Fort Myers.   😉  It just opened in 2020 and doing very well!    We brought home some muffins!   😋

Back to their home for more visiting and then said our good byes and on home going thru the country avoiding I-75.   Planning to get together this winter here in FM, or some place in-between (Arcadia)?   Mark and Tamara worked together off and on at State Farm starting in the 80's.

Good to be home before the rain started.    We sampled our muffins and I finished packing the warm woolies for tomorrow's trip to WI (Sisters Weekend).

I'll get back to the blog on Monday - looking forward to a fun time with my sisters and then Sunday is Mark's birthday!   Bye for now....
