Saturday - February 5

Yesterday was 85 and very pleasant but today strange weather starting with high humidity this morning when we were walking.    The sun came out a bit but mostly cloudy.   Mark was off for a biscuits and gravy fix at Hardees (biscuit for me) at 8ish.    We tidied up Flo and the she shed as Bob and Carol are coming.....last time together was March 5, 2020 in Sarasota at "Millie's".

Our friends Bob and Carol drove over from Jupiter and we met at 12:15 at Buckingham Farms - they loved it and of course, so did we!    Came to Cypress Trail and showed them around - Flo, she shed, etc. and then we were off to the Hyatt where they were able to check in.   Next stop was downtown and the big Art Fest which is always the first weekend in February     It is wonderful and totally blew us away.    Mark and I went a few years ago - very high quality.    Carol and I loved it all except the temperature dropped, the winds were strong and brrrr...the guys parked themselves in nice comfy chairs at the Luminary Hotel.

Mark picked us up and we took them back to the Hyatt to change clothes and we came back to Flo to do the same - time to bring out some much warmer apparel.

Picked up Bob and Carol and onto downtown and a wonderful dinner at Firestone Grill - a favorite that we had not been to in a few years.    Downtown was a hustling, bustling place and restaurants, bars and sidewalk eateries all busy.    Very happy with our dinners.

When we came out of the Firestone, the winds were blowing like crazy and low 60's.    Brrrrrr....   Took them back to the hotel - what a fun day, but we are all winding down and ready for a good night's sleep.    Tomorrow....more fun things to see and do!

And now introducing our new grand puppy - "Millie"

Blair and Millie

This new addition to Michael and Brooke's family is 12 weeks old and a Maltipoo (part Maltese and part  poodle).    Millie will weigh 10 lbs at most.
Welcome to the family,
Millie!

Liam was the star at his late-night hockey game in Pekin last night scoring a hat trick (3 goals).    Nice to end his birthday on that high note!
