Valentine's Day - 2022

Woke up to a very chilly (44) very windy but very sunny Valentine's Day.    Brrrrr.......people out and about are really bundled up or there are the diehards in short sleeves and shorts???

Did some laundry and Kevin, head landscaper here in the park stopped by to fertilize some of our plants which are struggling.    The cold weather was not kind and he "thinks" they will come out of it, but we're to water daily for a week.    He's such a nice guy and stood out in the cold wind in shorts and no jacket just visiting like he had all the time in the world.    Of course, we were COLD......but really appreciate all he does for us and the park.

We left at 11 for Naples and Cooper's Hawk for lunch with our long-time old bridge friends (back to the early '70's).    This has been our Valentine's Day tradition to have lunch (dinner for many years) and there were 8 this year....sure missed Sue and Jerry who are not in Florida this winter.  😢

Wine, sangria, delicious food, dessert-to-go and lots of chatter made for a wonderful get together.   Soooo many memories with this dear bunch of friends!

Sharon, Harry, Pat, Mark, Cathy, Don, Connie, Steve

Mark helped Buddy and JoAnn with internet issues after we got home and I finished the laundry.   Added more dates to the calendar for friends getting together - visiting and eating!
Love this FL lifestyle!!!

Quiet rest of the afternoon and evening.

Forgot to mention Liam finally got his birthday card (and Valentine card) on Saturday!   👍
