Wednesday - February 2

Beautiful day and we did some cleaning jobs on Flo - scrubbed the floors and washed the windows and window sills.    Nice to have that job done.    Flo could sure use a good bath but not allowed here in the park.     The detail people come (there are several) and bring their own water, so maybe that's what we'll be doing.

We left at 11 for Cape Coral at Vinnie and Laurie's home.    They have a boat just like Catrina and bought theirs from friends John and Beth back in 2015.    We were last together on February 3, 2020.    First we checked out their new camper van which Vinnie BUILT - wow....very impressive and a great way for them to travel.    Then we enjoyed a delicious lunch (Laurie loves to cook).   We had a tossed salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing topped off with 2 excellent salmon patties.     I brought a fruit tart (thank you Publix) and we sat and yakked.   They live on one of many canals and their PDQ is parked right there.    Vinnie had installed new 110 HP engines and he proudly showed them off to Mark.    Laurie and I visited and enjoyed catching up after 2 years.   The guys joined us under the tiki hut and we had such a pleasant visit on this beautiful day.    We left around 4 with a plan to get together here at Cypress Trail sometime in March

Vinnie and Laurie

Back home for about an hour and then we rode with Buddy and JoAnn to "Scoop Me Up" for delicious ice cream - we all really like this place (per Rog and Martin's suggestion) - locally owned and really nice owners.

Home Sweet Home (Flo) and ready to settle down - but a very fun day with good friends!
