Sunday - February 6

We picked Bob and Carol up for 9:00 Mass at St. Cecelia's.   Then brunch at Cristof's which was wonderful.    A little chilly to sit outdoors so we were inside and it was lovely (older home), but always so pleasant on the patio or covered porch.

Bob's scrumptious Texas-style raisin French Toast with strawberries

We took a little driving trip to Shell Point and Sanibel.    Then we all were ready for a little rest, so dropped them off at the Hyatt and we came back to Flo - short power naps and we were good to go....we were in various parts of Fort Myers and enjoyed a tour of Babcock Ranch, new development north of Fort Myers that has and is exploding with growth in homes and infrastructure.    Amazing how much it has changed from 1 year ago when we were out there.    We drove to the Eco Ranch and showed them all the many many solar panels, etc.

Stopped back at a new Mexican place in Babcock Ranch near Publix.    Yesterday when Carol and I were checking out all the artists downtown, we chatted with Linda Lucas who had a booth of absolutely gorgeous paintings.    While the vendors were from all over the USA, Linda lives at Babcock Ranch and loves it.   She told us about this Mexican place and since we were so close, decided to try it.    Lo and behold, 3 days ago it started a soft opening and we were part of that - free margaritas (Carol and I decided thee best EVER) and wonderful food.    Definitely will recommend this place...M'Xuma Mexican Grill.

Margaritas - all gone and soooo delicious!
Us
Dear friends - Bob and Carol

And then it was time to take Bob and Carol back to their hotel and say our good byes.    They are such dear people and we've so enjoyed our annual visits (except 2021) at various areas of FL.     Their son-in-law, Tom Frosch was Ryan's commanding office and head of the Blue Angels.   Tom and Ryan now both fly for FedEx.

Sure has been a fun weekend.    Now gearing up for another busy week....

Hope you enjoy yours and stay safe and healthy!
